Jeffie's Choice: Feeding South Florida

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $1,500.00 to Feeding South Florida on June 4th, 2019.

Feeding South Florida is the largest, most efficient food bank serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. More than 98% of all donations are put back into the community.

Through innovative direct-service programs and a network of nonprofit partner agencies, Feeding South Florida distributes more than 50 million pounds (42 million meals) of food annually to over 700,000 individuals – 240,190 of whom are children and 110,000 are older adults.

Jeffie's Choice: Food Bank for Central & NE Missouri

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $3,000.00 to Food Bank for Central & NE Missouri on June 4th, 2019.

The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a regional disaster and hunger relief network that acquires and distributes millions of pounds of food annually to partner agencies across a 32-county area.

A member of Feeding America, The Food Bank is able to work with manufacturers, wholesalers, processors, growers, retailers and restaurants to secure donations and food at reduced costs. Because of these partnerships, they were able to turn every dollar into $21 worth of groceries.

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $1,500.00 to Central Pennsylvania Food Bank on May 22nd, 2019.

The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce hunger in 27 central Pennsylvania counties. By working with nearly 1,000 local agencies and programs, they serve more than 140,000 people in need each month.

Jeffie's Choice: Ozarks Food Harvest

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $1,500.00 to Ozarks Food Harvest on May 21st, 2019.

Ozarks Food Harvest is the Feeding America food bank for southwest Missouri, serving 270 hunger-relief organizations across 28 Ozarks counties. The Food Bank reaches nearly 30,000 individuals weekly and distributes more than 18.5 million meals annually.

Jeffie's Choice: Community Harvest Food Bank

Mariner Finance donated $1,500.00 to Community Harvest Food Bank on Thursday May 16th, 2019.

Six days a week, Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana works with a network of food donors, social service organizations and churches to provide food to hungry people in its nine-county service area. Delivering nearly 13 million pounds of food annually to the northeast corner of the state requires coordination and commitment.

Jeffie's Choice: Feed More Central Food Bank VA

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $1,500.00 to the Feedmore Central Food Bank VA on April 16th, 2019.

With nearly 100 employees, close to 300 agencies and more than 200 volunteers a day, Feed More is able to carry out its mission of fighting hunger throughout its vast service area in Central Virginia. Feed More is a proud member of Feeding America and Meals on Wheels America.

Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland’s mission is to serve those in need by acquiring and distributing donated food, grocery items, and government commodities throughout almost 16,000 square miles of Kentucky. The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank was formed in 1982 by a group of community leaders who made a commitment to provide emergency food to neighbors in need. Today, the Foodbank provides food and other essential items to member hunger-relief programs in eight Northeast Ohio counties: Carroll, Holmes, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas and Wayne. These member programs operate nearly 500 food pantries, hot meal sites, shelters and other hunger-relief programs in the neighborhoods and communities where people need food.

The Greater Chicago Food Depository is Chicago’s food bank. They provide food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in the community.  They do this in partnership with 700 agencies and programs including pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and responses for children, older adults and veterans. This network distributes food where it is needed most throughout Cook County.

Jeffie’s Choice, Inc., through Mariner Finance, donated $1,500.00 to the Mississippi Food Network (MFN) on Tuesday December 4th, 2018.

Mississippi Food Network (MFN) has been feeding Mississippians since 1984. MFN distributes more than 1.5 million pounds of food and feeds more than 150,000 every month — or a total of 1.8 million people per year. MFN takes donations from multiple sources, and distributes food and goods through 430 member agencies.

Today, Second Harvest of South Georgia is the leading hunger-relief organization in the region and the second largest food bank in the state.  We serve a 12,675 square mile region made up of 30 counties.  In addition to our Valdosta headquarters, we have branches in Albany, Douglas and Thomasville.  From these four locations, we serve more than 400 partner agencies through a variety of programs including the Food Bank, Kids Cafe, Mobile Food Pantry, and Teachers’ Harvest among others.

The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and programs for children and adults through distribution centers in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, the Sandhills (Southern Pines) and Wilmington.

Hoosier Hills Food Bank’s mission is to collect, store and distribute food to non-profit agencies that feed the hungry in Brown, Lawrence, Orange, Owen, Martin and Monroe counties in Indiana. HHFB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Over 100 non-profit member agencies serve more than 25,800 individuals each year. In 2017, they distributed 4,223,459 total pounds of food and 1,154,936 pounds of fresh produce. Since opening in 1982, HHFB has distributed over 60 million pounds of food.

The West Alabama Food Bank, located in Northport, Alabama, works year round to end hunger by securing donations, and safely storing and distributing food to hunger relief programs. WAFB operates a 52,000 square foot warehouse with an onsite cooler and frozen storage. In 2017 there was an estimated 4 million pounds of food and supplies distributed throughout the West Alabama region.
